LONDON – When in 1956 rock and roll came from America to England and skiffle-bands changed to rock-bands, Marty Wilde was one of the first idols on the wet island. He always stayed in the shadows of Cliff Richard, but still entertained the young Brits for a couple of years. But time goes by so fast, friends. Recently Marty’s attractive daughter Kim was launched as the promise for the near future in England. Her debut single “Kids in America” looks like becoming a hit. Kim is twenty and has exchanged art college for the recording studio. She’s got our blessing.
