Review – Kim Wilde

Two big hits, “Kids in America” and “Chequered love” are on this hit-filled LP. With that, this new phenomenon is described well enough. It’s the short, very listenable, recognizable and singalongable songs that make it, songs in which the synthesizer proves how important this instrument has become these days. However she sings, whatever she sings, whether it’s a beautiful ballad (“Everything we know”) or a fast piece (“Our town”), she makes it her own and gives it ‘body’. A fantastic debut.
