Pop singer Kim Wilde teamed up with wrestler Big Daddy today to launch the BBC’s £2,000,000 appeal for children in need. Radio and TV will link up on Friday to try to raise the money.
Stars and celebrities will be on BBC 1 and all BBC radio networks during an evening of phone-in programmes to receive pledges of cash. Big Daddy said: ‘Our aim is to double last year’s figure of £1,000,000. It’s a wonderful cause.
Among the stars taking part will be Adam Ant, Lulu, Terry Wogan and James Hunt.
