Big Daddy, Kim Wilde and four youngsters from a London special school – above – were out and about yesterday to publicise the BBC’s third Children in Need appeal which dominates television and radio networks on Friday. Pop singer Kim and wrester Big Daddy are just two of the many celebrities who will be taking pledges in the phone-in appeal which last year raised over £1m. BBC1, Radios 1, 2, 3 and 4 and local radio link up for the appeal. Among the other stars taking part will be Terry Wogan, Gloria Hunniford, James Hunt, Lulu, Adam Ant and Petula Clark.
