Popstars lead a busy life, but being famous has its advantages as well! Kim Wilde and the Communards, together with a large number of other artists, were invited recently to give a big concert to honour the ‘Discque d’Or’ on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean. The best part of this tropical trip was that they could add a lazy holiday of a week to the performance. Kim and Communards-singer Jimi Sommerville enjoyed themselves beneath the hot sun.
“Great, isn’t it, a working holiday like this?”, said Kim. “Normally you only see your colleagues in passing. Now we get the chance to know one another better. Together with Jimi I have laughed a lot, made plans and of course partied hard. I wouldn’t mind if they organised more events like this.”
