Back in the top 10 with her vibrant revival of the Supremes oldie You keep me hanging on, Kim Wilde should find an equally receptive audience for her fifth album, which has many of the musical hallmarks that have made her one of the UK’s top female rock talents. While side one launches things in an up-tempo mood, side two is more of a showcase for her “softer” side. There’s an extensive marketing campaign behind the album and she’s about to start her first UK tour in three years which augurs well for the chart success of Another step.
