Singer Kim Wilde left Britain yesterday for a date with Michael Jackson. The daughter of 50s British rock ‘n’ roller Marty Wilde will be supporting act on the first show of the American superstar’s European tour in Rome next Monday. She said before flying out of Heathrow: “It’s going to be great. I’ve a new act, some new outfits and have pulled out all the stops.”
Meanwhile, Jackson and another British star, George Michael, are planning their first duet on stage at George’s own concert in Rome tomorrow. Jackson was reported yesterday to be flying out early for the show. And an aide of George’s said: “This isn’t idle gossip”.
