Singer Kim Wilde is shaping up for a comeback. The pop star piled on the pounds before the birth of her first child eight months ago. But Kim, 37, is getting back in shape for another tilt at the charts following a six-year break.
Unflattering photos last month revealed how the former sex symbol – who had several top 10 hits in the 1980s – had ballooned. But she showed off a slimmed down figure yesterday as she and actor husband Hal Fowler, 30, pushed tot Harry in his buggy through a shopping centre in Hatfield, Herts.
The daughter of 60s singer Marty Wilde admitted she put on two stone while pregnant. Kim, whose new album is released in January, said: ‘It was a wonderful experience to eat what I wanted and not worry about my weight.’ And she admits she suffered (…) from her love of good food. She added: ‘I’m a foodie. (…) over-indulge in the music business (…) constantly spoiled rotten.’
