‘Johnnie’ Johnson Housing Trust’s millennium garden, at its sheltered housing scheme in Codicote, Hertfordshire, has been opened by its creator, former pop singer Kim Wilde. Ms Wilde has given up the career that made her a star in the 1980s, and now works as a garden designer. Her father Marty, who was one of Britain’s first rock ‘n roll singers in the 1950s, came along to help.
