Discovering this book certainly had a great impact on my life – it led to my career change, from pop music to gardening and TV presenting. I used it in the early stages of learning about design, and applied its ideas to my own garden at home. It was the first step on my journey into horticulture and shaped my approach to the relationship between plants and design. The joy it inspired in my life is immeasurable.
