Christmas programming at FFH

The broadcaster Hit Radio FFH from Hessen [Germany] assists its listeners with Christmas music, poetry and Christmas stories during the festive days. With the church broadcast “Kreuz und Quer” (6pm to 9pm, as well as on both Christmas days), FFH starts during Christmas Eve.

Between 9am and 1pm Christmas greetings from celebrities, and until 5pm the programme is called “FFHrohe Weihnachten – Wir warten aufs Christkind” with FFH presenter Silvia Stenger, who reads poetry and sings songs with children. Actor Otto Sander, who was born in Kassel, reads the wonderful Christmas story “Elvis and the man with the red cloak”.

Starting 5pm all the FFH personnel is free – except FFH programme director Hans-Dieter Hillmoth, who presents the “Hessische Weihnacht” until midnight for the eighteenth time. With Christmas music and stories.

The highlight of the first Christmas day are the “FFH Christmas hit highlights” (from 2pm to 6pm) with Peter Illman and Andrea Husak. On second Christmas day Thomas Meyer presents the best of the three FFH Christkinder concerts: with the American wunderkind Bianca Ryan (12), Kim Wilde and newcomer Sebastian Hämer.
