If your garden is more pit than paradise, here’s your chance to transform your outdoor space in time for the summer.
Today and tomorrow you can win £2,500 worth of national garden gift vouchers courtesy of Yellow Pages, celebrating its support for Marie Curie Cancer Care’s annual fundraising campaign, the Great Daffodil Appeal.
This year’s campaign runs throughout March and aims to raise £4 million. This will give people who are terminally ill with cancer the choice of being cared for at home by a Marie Curie nurse. Yellow Pages’ support means proceeds from the Great Daffodil Appeal will go directly to the charity.
Gardening is a major theme of fundraising activities, with more than 200,000 children taking part in Mini Pots of Care – Marie Curie Cancer Care’s sponsored daffodil-planting initiative fronted by celebrity gardener Kim Wilde.
You, too, can show your support for Marie Curie Cancer Care and its important work by wearing one of the charity’s daffodil pins. There are also plenty of opportunities to make a donation through street collections or collecting boxes in shops and offices. Please visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/daffodil.
National garden gift vouchers are redeemable in 2,000 outlets throughout the UK. See www.thevouchergarden.co.uk.
