Record at “Domino Day”

Singer Kim Wilde (pictured at the left) proved to have the right feeling in her fingers, when she pushed the first of 4,4 million stones on Friday night at the “Domino Day 2006”, also broadcast by ORF. With the chain reaction of a total of 4.079.381 domino stones track builder Paul Weijers and his team of 90 workers succeeded in breaking the 2005 world record of 4.002.136 stones.

With the motto of “Music in motion” the 4.079.381 stones fell within nine theme fields, showing themes from Classic to Schlagers.

The chain reaction went over the floor of 9.500 square meters in the Dutch Leeuwarden.
