It’s in her genes! The father of pop-lady Kim Wilde was already a singer. From him Kimberley Smith, as she is really called, took her stage name. This is the name everyone has known since 1981: she had a superhit at the age of 20 with the song “Kids in America”. And of course the singer will perform this at the Linzer “Krone” Fest 08 (22 and 23 August). Just like the hits “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” (number one in the US charts, in Canada, Australia and half of Europe), “You came” and “Never say Never”. The hairs may not be as blonde as they once were, but her show and voice are full of power and passion as ever…
“Standing on stage live in front of so many people is something special, I’m already looking forward to Linz”, says the sympathetic Kim Wilde about the “Krone” Fest 08. Like all the other of the 50 acts, which the audiences will enjoy on seven stages. On the biggest open air festival of the country you will also see: Starmaniac Mario Lang (“Bring ihn heim”), the schlager star Petra Frey (“Selbstbewusst”), Gilbert (“Gnadenlos”) and Alpenrebellen (“Das Leben ist hart, doch wir san härter”) and many, many more. And the smallest guests of the “Krone” Fest will enjoy it in the Kids Area. The Linzer “Krone” Fest is always an event for the whole family. Stars, Fun and Hits.
