Kim Wilde has asked Jo Brand if she can appear on her BBC Four comedy Getting On.
The singer-turned-gardener was flattered to find out that Jo’s put-upon nurse character is called Kim Wilde, and she asked Jo if she herself could put in an appearance on the NHS comedy.
Jo revealed: “I did this thing called Britain Sings Christmas. I had to sing Fairytale of New York with Diarmund Gavin and I met Kim on that and I said to her, ‘I’m going to be doing a series and I’m going to be called Kim Wilde,’ and she said, ‘can I come and be in a bed?'”
The comedian went on: “So we’ve got her in mind, to slot her in in a Hitchcockian kind of way and not even mention it. She could sing Kids In America while we tranquillise her.”
