Some 30 years ago she stood on stage for the first time. And Eighties icon Kim Wilde wants to celebrate that fact with the release of her new album ‘Come out and play’.
‘It is in fact a saying with which children say that they want to go outside. For adults it’s got a slightly different meaning’, Kim says ambiguously. Sex? ‘When one writes a lot of pop songs, it will always be about sex. Otherwise one has done something wrong’, she laughs.
Is there still a wish after having sold over 20 million records? ‘I have a wonderful life and a fantastic family. But if I could pick one thing, I would love to fly into space one time. In 20 years from now there might be a shuttle to the moon and back.’
