Wilde in the garden

Pop star turned TV gardener Kim Wilde opened a new sensory garden at a special school in Ware on Tuesday. The garden, at Pinewood School, in Hoe Lane, was designed by local artist Sarah Rintoul and Groundwork Hertfordshire, and built by local contractor VolkerFitzpatrick.

Kim, Garden Invaders presenter and author of two successful gardening books, joined Pinewood children to explore their new garden for the first time.

The garden van designed and developed in close consultation with pupils and staff of the school for 11-to-16-year-olds with moderate learning difficulties.
