Premiere for pop icon Kim Wilde in Carinthia: during the cool lake festival she and her band took care of a hot atmosphere.
Kim Wilde did her surname proud on the Lake Festival in Klagenfurt! The 50-year-old British woman was rocking wildly and live with her band on the main stage. As was the audience, retro fans and a few who wanted to be catapulted back to their youth, but hot from watching. The 600 fans at the Wörthersee beach were warmed up by a world-class performance by Chico & the Gypsies. The musicians managed to start a fire despite cooler temperatures due to their sound of flamenco, rock and salsa.
"They make a good atmosphere," said Kim in the dressing room before her performance. In a black trouser suit, the trained landscape gardener came from the Lindner Hotel with her band, very relaxed. "I am in Carinthia for the first time. It's beautiful," gushed the pop icon, who is currently touring successfully with brother Ricky through Germany. "In the autumn a new album is coming out," reveals the singer on stage. She took care of including many surprises. The mix of hits from the Eighties and new pieces added together seamlessly, proving that Kim has not stayed back in the Eighties. A concert for which the IP Media CEO Martin Ramusch and many others have gladly taken the winter sweater out of the closet again.
