“Nights without Kim Wilde, I often get bored,” sang Laurent Voulzy, under her spell, exactly forty years ago. At 64, the British icon offers Closer, conceived as the sequel to Close, her hit album released in 1988 and containing hits like You Came. This new opus contains ten tracks balancing between nostalgia and contemporary sounds, which highlight her voice with its unique timbre, including a duet with her rocker niece Scarlett. It is also available on vinyl with a signed postcard, for fans from the very beginning.
