Kim Wilde has released many songs during her career. Some of them have been covered by other artists. On Cover Friday, Wilde Life presents cover versions of Kim Wilde songs. This week: Sarah Walker.
Sarah Walker started her career as a model and actress in 1996. She appearanced in movies like 'The Rock' and 'George of the jungle' and modelled in Germany, Korea and the USA for Brigitte, T-Com, Playboy and Marie Claire. In 2000, she started a singing career. She played live, opening for bands like Scooter, Pet Shop Boys and Kraftwerk.
Her debut single was a cover of Kim Wilde's Kids in America. It was released on a cd-single in 2001, featuring three versions: the single cut, an extended version and a remix version. While the first two are very much rock-oriented, the third version adds a kind of 'electro-reggae' touch. As far as we know, it was her only cd release, although she did form the band Sarah Walker & The Fuzz after the turn of the century. More recently, Sarah has become involved in creative art direction and styling.
