Kim Wilde has released many songs during her career. Some of them have been covered by other artists. On Cover Friday, Wilde Life presents cover versions of Kim Wilde songs. This week: Chinese Theatre.
Chinese Theatre was formed in the year 2002 when Swedish native Krister Petersson started creating remixes for other bands. He recruited Martina Ramstedt. Together they released their debut album 'Voices & Machines' in 2006. The second album 'The silent years' followed in October 2008. That album featured a cover version of Kim Wilde's 'Cambodia'. The style of the song, as you can hear below, is very electronic pop-oriented.
The album is still available as a digital download on the CD Baby website. It appears that the band no longer exists, but the members have gone on as Vision Talk together with Stefan Olsson and Richard Flow.
