Kim Wilde has released many songs during her career. Some of them have been covered by other artists. On Cover Friday, Wilde Life presents cover versions of Kim Wilde songs. This week: Harry en de gebroeeke zwiegelkes.

With Kim Wilde currently on tour in the Netherlands, we thought it was fitting to choose a cover by a Dutch band this week. But it's still a challenge for everyone, because the band Harry en de gebroeeke zwiegelkes only perform in a local dialect, and it's from the provence Limburg - a piece of land between Belgium and Germany in the south of the Netherlands. Their entire repertoire is based on existing songs with new lyrics, and this is the recipe that is also used for their version of 'Anyplace anywhere anytime', the song made famous by Nena and Kim Wilde at the time.

'De trimklup' ('The gym club') is a song about the strains of trying to lose weight after eating too much snacks and drinking too much beer. The track was released on the live album 'Aoh lekker' in February 2015. It's not the best cover version of the song, but it's a Dutch one nonetheless. You can listen to the song here.
