Kim Wilde appeared in the February 5, 1989 edition of the BBC television programme The Clothes Show, where she was interviewed about her looks and her clothes. In the programme, she told the viewers: "When I actually get a chance to go out shopping, I'll spend a lot of money very quickly on clothes. I'm a very spontaneous buyer: I see something, I like it, I buy it."
The programme was accompanied by a monthly magazine. When the programme hit TV screens, the March 1989 issue of the Clothes Show magazine was in shops with Kim on the cover.
