Kim Wilde's first records were written and produced by her father and brother, Marty and Ricky. The three of them have had a great influence on the music world, as this regular series 'Wilde World' shows.

John and Anne Ryder were reasonably successful as solo artists but when they married and started recording duets, they found worldwide fame. 'I still believe in tomorrow', released in the summer of 1969, was written by Ronnie Scott and Marty Wilde, and became a hit in the UK, but also in the USA where the single peaked at number 70 in the Billboard Hot 100.

When Billboard predicted that the follow-up 'A sign for love' would be a blockbuster as well, they were wrong. That song was not written by Marty, after all...
