Kim Wilde has released many songs during her career. Some of them have been covered by other artists. On Cover Friday, Wilde Life presents cover versions of Kim Wilde songs. This week: Heimatglück.

'Water on glass' has become a bit of a live favourite during recent Kim Wilde concerts, but the song has never been a favourite for cover versions. However, in 2001 the German punk rock band Heimatglück included a version of the song in their EP of cover versions entitled 'Heimat pop'. They called their version 'Wasserglass', although it's simply an English cover version of the song. Their cover version of 'I should be so lucky' (Kylie Minogue) is called 'Hamster', but also comes with German lyrics. 'Ich brenne ab' is an English cover version of Madonna's 'Burning up'. Two further tracks, 'Paul ist tot' and 'Disco', are covers from other German bands, Fehlfarben and Slime respectively.

Heimatglück have been around for 20 years now and has consisted of Felix Raeithel, Coco and Jana since the beginning.
