Kim Wilde has released many songs during her career. Some of them have been covered by other artists. On Cover Friday, Wilde Life presents cover versions of Kim Wilde songs. This week: Lasgo.
Kim Wilde released 'Loved' in 2001 as a new track on a compilation album to celebrate her return to the stage as part of the Here & Now Tour - the first tour she did since the Hits Tour in 1994. The song became a surprise hit in Belgium, where it ended up in the top 10.
The song has been covered only once, and it is a rare cover too because it was never recorded in the studio. When the Belgian radio station Donna celebrated its tenth birthday in April 2002, several Belgian artists were invited to sing cover versions of international stars. One of them was Evi Goffin, the lead singer of the band Lasgo who enjoyed some success with dance hits like 'Something' and 'Pray' at the time. The concert was broadcast on Belgian television on May 3, 2002 and you can see the performance below.
