Kim Wilde has released many songs during her career. Some of them have been covered by other artists. On Cover Friday, Wilde Life presents cover versions of Kim Wilde songs. This week: Make Lentonen.
Make Lentonen is a Finnish singer and songwriter, who achieved some international notoriety when he wrote 'Bye bye baby' for the duo CatCat, who represented Finland in the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. His own career was short: he released just one album in 1992, entitled 'Ullakolla'.
After this album, which contained original songs in Finnish, he released a cover version of Kim Wilde's 'Kids in America' as a single in 1993. Entitled 'Kaupungin lapset', is was the version in Finnish which had previously been recorded by Mona Carita.
