Kim Wilde has released many songs during her career. Some of them have been covered by other artists. On Cover Friday, Wilde Life presents cover versions of Kim Wilde songs. This week: Sissy Prozac.
The Swedish rockband Sissy Prozac formed in Göteborg in 1996. The band consisted of Ola Rapace (guitar), Sunil Munshi (vocals), Jesper Hörberg (drums), Tristan Jeanneau (bass) and André Sjöberg (guitar). They released their debut album 'Uppers for downers' in 2000. The second album 'Speed' was released in 2003 and featured a cover version of 'Kids in America' - which was also released as a single. Their version starts off rather subtle, but soon all caution goes out the window and it's a loud piece of rock.
Sissy Prozac disbanded in 2007, while they were recording their third album which was never released.
