Back when digital photography was still a thing of the future, photographers depended on contact sheets to decide which photographs were the best to use in an article or for artwork. These contact sheets were basically prints from the negatives of camera films, and in the case of pop star photography, these contact sheets are very interesting because obviously lots of shots were never used.
This week's choice was taken from one of such contact sheets. In 1988, Kim was photographed by Peter Anderson, and some of his photographs were used in the volume 8 no. 3 issue of the Kim Wilde Fanclub magazine. Many more photographs were never used at all, including this beautiful introspective shot. It's a rare treat for this week's throwback!
