Throwback Thursday

This week's Throwback Thursday photograph comes from the book First-time gardener, which Kim Wilde wrote in 2005, just after winning the RHS Chelsea Flower Show gold medal with her Cumbrian Fellside Garden. The 'ideal guide for absolute beginners' was written for novices, with Kim sharing the experiences that took her from new gardener to medal winner.

Gardening books won't be every Kim Wilde fan's cup of tea, because she is most famous for her music, but it is still a useful book for anyone who owns a garden. And if you don't like the text, there's still a few more Kim Wilde portraits to be discovered on the 224 pages of this book.
