This Saturday, Kim Wilde will be performing at the Parkpop Saturday Night festival in Den Haag (Netherlands). Parkpop was always a free festival on the last Sunday of June. It was first organised in 1981. A few years ago, a paid festival on the day before was introduced to increase revenue and to attract bigger names for the festival.
In 2007, Kim Wilde was headlining the 27th edition of Parkpop. It was the summer after the previous year's release of 'Never say never', and so it was no surprise that her performance included four tracks from that album (see the set list here). Highlights from the festival were broadcast on regional and national TV. This week's Throwback Thursday photograph was taken during Kim's performance in 2007 by our very own Katrien Vercaigne.
