Out now: ‘Pop Don’t Stop: Greatest Hits’

It’s release day for Kim Wilde’s greatest hits compilation ‘Pop Don’t Stop’. The album is released in a 2CD version featuring the biggest hits, and a collector’s edition with five CD’s and 2 DVD’s. The box set features almost all the singles Kim has released, a disc of B-sides and a disc of collectable remixes. The two DVD’s feature Kim’s entire videography, from ‘Kids in America’ (1981) to the very latest video, ‘Shine On’ with Boy George. It also features two interviews with Kim, recorded earlier this year, in which she reflects on some of the videos and a more general interview about her career so far.

The greatest hits album consists entirely of the single versions and radio edits as they were released at the time, painstakingly put together by Marcel Rijs and Cherry Pop’s Alan Connor, who also wrote the liner notes together for this album. For the earlier singles, the remasters by Tom Parker, released last year on the deluxe re-releases of Kim’s first three albums, were used. Photography in the booklet was put together from old press photos, as well as some newer ones by Katrien Vercaigne.

You can buy the album on Amazon (box set version and 2cd version) or the Cherry Red website.
