Kim about '1969'

1969 is a song that has a few influences. First of all, I was nine years old when man landed on the moon and I was there watching it with my mum and dad, as a little girl on the TV and I could not believe my eyes. It had a massive impact on me and I've been fascinated by the moon and all things to do with space ever since. It was further compounded by a UFO sighting in 2009. So 'Here come the aliens' was also inspired by that. '1969' is a song about the aliens may be coming down and kicking us off the planet, because we've made such a mess of things.
