Swiss DJ’s Michael Hackl and Christian Imfeld were working in the music industry for years before they started working together as Chekov & Gagarin.
Michael Hackl was known as DJ Boost, and under this guise he’s created seven mix-cd compilations. As a professional DJ he plays chill-house and electro.
Christian Imfeld (a.k.a. DJ Ozo) gets his inspiration from his Detroit collective Deuxième. He’s produced electronic music since 1997.
Together, Chekov & Gagarin describe ther music as “Patchwork Electronique”. Their compositions are a mix of Hi NRG, Italo disco, synthpop, sample- and acid-house.
In 2005 they recorded their cover of Kim Wilde’s View from a Bridge. It was available on their album ‘Patchwork electronique’ and as a CD-single containing three mixes.
