Come Out and Play

Released on 27 August 2010, ‘Come Out and Play’ was Kim Wilde’s eleventh studio album. It was released by Sony Music on the Columbia SevenOne label.

Music

The tracks on the album were produced by Ricky Wilde & Andrew Murray (seven tracks), John McLaughlin and Dave Thomas Junior (two tracks), Philip Larsen and Paul Humphreys (one track), Carsten Heller (one track), Philip Larsen (one track) and Pete Kirtley and Sacha Collisson (one track). The album features a more rock-oriented, ‘live-ish’ sound than Kim’s previous albums.
Kim wrote one track and co-wrote seven tracks on the album.

Tracks

The album features the tracks King of the World, Lights Down Low, Real Life, Greatest Journey, I Want What I Want, Love Conquers All, Hey! You!, Suicide, This Paranoia, Loving You More, Get Out, My Wish Is Your Command and Jessica. The digital download bundle, which was released a few months after the CD, featured four bonus tracks: Carry Me Home, Addicted To You, Party on the Brink and Snakes and Ladders.

Artwork

The photography in the cd booklet was made by Christian Barz. The design was made by Ronald Reinsberg.

Formats

‘Come Out and Play’ was released as a CD and a digital download. On 27 August 2010 the CD was released in Germany, Switzerland and Austria only, whereas the digital download was also released in the Netherlands (and a few weeks later in other European countries as well). The CD was released in France on 28 February 2011.
