Kim was introduced to Tom Aspaul and decided to involve him in this track. (In return, she appeared on a remix of his track W.M.)

Kim about ‘You’re My Karma’
Because of the nature of the lockdown, everyone was in such a different place, it was so scary and unpredictable and we just didn’t know what was around the corner, we just didn’t know what the hell was going on. I think Rick at that point was thinking about doing maybe a solo project or something. So he was putting together some great tracks. When I heard ‘You’re My Karma’ I thought ‘this is a song that needs to be heard’. When the greatest hits project was winding up, and we knew Shine On was on there, I thought ‘wouldn’t it be great if we had two new songs?’ (…) We did ‘Shine On’ with George, and I thought ‘You’re My Karma’ would be the perfect track to put on there, by which time we had met Tom Aspaul.
