‘Top of the pops’ devoted a program to a ‘Review of the 80’s’, and Kim was asked to perform her track ‘You keep me hangin’ on’ on this show. It was a no. 1 hit in the United States, which was quite an achievement for a female British artist.
During this performance, Kim wears a gold and black shirt and a black jacket over a black miniskirt. She is backed by a drummer, a guitarist, a bassist and a drummer.

Kim Wilde is a studio guest during Noel Edmunds’ show. They show a candid camera joke that was filmed before the show, in which Kim is fooled into thinking that she has to take over a radio show while the host is away to the toilet. She fills up the time talking and getting ever more worried about whether he will ever come back… then is finally rescued by Noel Edmunds, who turns up in a disguise. ‘You look strangely familiar’, Kim says, before she finally realises it’s him.

Back in the studio, she gets a ‘Gotcha Oscar’ for all her troubles.

The wish of a Sarah Nuttall to work in a beauty farm for a day is granted with the assistance of Kim, who is the ‘victim’ of the girl’s work. A foot massage, a sauna and a make-up session are a few of the actions that are televised. At the end of the item, Sarah receives a medal… from Kim of course.

Oh, I’ll be appearing in a sketch with Neris later and also taking calls…

The sketch is called ‘The last waltz’ and is indeed shown later in the evening. Four older women (played by Felicity Kendal , Polly James, Caroline Blakiston and Linda McCartney) ponder on the harsh facts of getting older, then finally seem to accept the fact that life chisels one into a ‘work of art in the gallery of life’. Then Kim waltzes in and looks into a mirror, saying ‘is it this light, or am I putting on weight?’. The older women run off, quite distraught.

The fifth and last clip off the album Close consisted mainly of shots from earlier clips, sleeve photographs and other pictures from the ‘Close’ era.
However, there are some new shots as well, of Kim lipsynching to the words of the song in a most lovely, simple but elegant dress. Both the dress and the background are dark blue or even black.
