C’mon Love Me

Song written by Kim Wilde and George McFarlane. Fourth track of the album Now & Forever.

Kim about ‘C’mon Love Me’

Written by George McFarlane and I. I have written with George for three years now and this is the first time I’ve recorded one of our songs. It is a sensual song and needs no explanation! I’d love to do a version in French with LOTS of heavy breathing. Look out Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin!! (1)

Lyrics

There’s an endless sky and
It’s just you and I
You’re close to me
We tried to say goodbye but
But we can’t be that strong and let it be
Now I know life’s changed
And we can’t expect to have things like they were before
But you want me, I want you
And there’s nothing left for us to do
Before the night is through now

C’mon c’mon c’mon
C’mon c’mon c’mon
And love me, love me
C’mon c’mon c’mon
C’mon c’mon c’mon
And love me, love me

We don’t close our eyes we’re
Looking deep inside and move so slow
Ooh this is making love it
Feels so good
Oh baby don’t let go
When the morning comes
We’ll pray the dawn could never break another day
Then we’ll kiss, say goodbye
And tomorrow I’ll be on my way
But before we’re through now

C’mon c’mon c’mon
C’mon c’mon c’mon
And love me, love me
C’mon c’mon c’mon
C’mon c’mon c’mon
And love me, love me

Kim about ‘Breakin’ Away’

I loved its energy right away. I feel the production on it has really brought out the best in the song, especially the backing vocalists. (1)

I think it contains a really good message: it’s about someone who disconnects from the past and their own limits. It is about me in a way, because with this album in a different style I disconnect from the past as well. On top of that, it’s a really great song, full of energy. (2)

Lyrics

Breakin’ away
Breakin’ away
It’s hard leaving
Walking away from someone just to start again
We are ever needing
Keeping that someone to care just to give us strength
So as life changes with every day
We got to move forward
There’s got to be a better way
Start over with every chance
I will be there

Now I’m breakin’ away (breakin’ away)
All I needed was time and room to grow
I got something to say (breakin’ away)
Now I know I can make it on my own
Now I’m breakin’away (Yeah, Yeah)

It’s hard giving
Giving out all that you’ve got when there’s no return
When you find you’re living
Living for everyone else there’s so much to learn
So as life changes with every day
We got to move forward
There’s got to be a better way
Start over with every chance
I will be there

Now I’m breakin’ away (breakin’ away)
All I needed was time and room to grow
I got something to say (breakin’ away)
Now I know I can make it on my own
Now I’m breakin’away (Yeah, Yeah)

Seems like I’ve waited
Seems like it’s taken forever (just to break free)
It feels like I’ve wasted my life
Now that we’re not together.

Lyrics

Tonight I’m gonna fly
Like a phoenix rising from the ashes of love
Towards the open sky
Gonna spread my wings and circle above
I’ve been too long on the ground
My head looking down

(You must believe)
You take me to heaven baby
(You must believe)
You take me to paradise
Don’t you know it feels so good
You take me to heaven
(You must believe)
(You must believe)
(You must believe)
