They play songs originally performed by Prince, the Beatles, Bruno Mars, Metallica and Coldplay, among many others. One of the songs on their setlist is Kim Wilde’s Kids in America, for which they’ve also created a studio recording and a music video. They have not yet released any records.

Pentikäinen, Satu

Satu Pentikäinen was born on December 3, 1962. She debuted when she was just 14 years old in a television talent show. Her most famous hit in Finland is ‘Menolippu’ (1979), a Finnish cover version of ‘One way ticket’, a song originally recorded by Neil Sedaka but made famous at the time by the German band Eruption.

In 1982, Satu recorded ‘Matka Tuntemattomaan’, a Finnish cover version of Kim Wilde’s Cambodia. It was included on her third album ‘Lapsuus Jäi’, which consisted mostly of Finnish cover versions of hit songs from 1982, and the B-side of ‘Aika Hellyyden’, which was a cover of Bucks Fizz’s ‘The Land of Make Believe’. Satu released two more albums, but only her fifth album ‘Ei Huolet Paina’ contained mostly original material. In 1991, she retired from music to concentrate on family life. She started studying music at the Sibelius Academy and has since worked as a music teacher.

Lyrics

It’s the…. end of the line.
Don’t want to be late now
Just a… matter of time.
Speeding to the brink of mass extinction.

You emptied the seas.
So you bring the sushi.
Between you and me,
we’re speeding to the brink of mass extinction.

It’s the end of the world.
We’re havin a party.
At the end of the world the music has already started.
Pretty people… Too dumb to know it.
Too blonde to see it. Too drunk to notice.

All the people…. Too dumb to know it.
Too drunk to see it. And it’s too much, too much, too much, too much, too much.

You flattened the land.
I took the ozone.
We did all we can.
Speeding to the brink of mass extinction.

We do it so well.
Your car is so shiny.
On the… highway to hell.
Speeding to the brink of mass extinction.

It’s the end of the world.
We’re havin a party.
At the end of the world the music has already started.
Pretty people… Too dumb to know it.
Too blonde to see it. Too drunk to notice.

All the people… Too dumb to know it.
Too drunk to see it. And it’s too much, too much, too much, too much, too much.

I want to see it as the sun goes down.
I want to see it so lets stick around.
I want to see it as the sun goes down, sun goes down, sun goes down.

I want to see it as the sun goes down.
I want to see it so lets stick around.
I want to see it as the sun goes down, sun goes down, sun goes down.

It’s the end of the world.
We’re havin a party.
At the end of the world the music has already started. Yeah!

It’s the end of the world.
We’re havin a big party.
At the end of the world the music has already started. Yeah!

Pretty people… Too dumb to know it.
Too blonde to see it. Too drunk to notice.

All the people… Too dumb to know it.
Too drunk to see it. And it’s too much, too much, too much, too much, too much

Paris

Capital of France. Largest city of the country, on the Seine river. Parisian city features are of course the Eiffel tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame church and the Centre Pompidou. With an estimated population 10 million, the Paris metropolitan area contains nearly 20% of France’s inhabitants and thus it dominates the political and cultural life of France.

Paris is often praised for its nightlife, and is called “city of light” for its nightly illuminations. It is also a well-loved place for couples to spend a romantic holiday.

Paris is Kim Wilde’s favourite city, and she likes spending time there. She also shot the video for Another Step (Closer to You) there.

Since then he has recorded and performed as a musician in his own right. After The Police, he joined Wayne County & the Electric Chairs.
In late 1981 and early 1982, he was part of Kim Wilde’s band during TV performances.

In 1980, he formed his own guitar instrumental band, the Flying Padovanis, and released the single Western Pasta (1981). The Flying Padovani’s recorded two albums: ‘Font L’Enfer’ (1983) and ‘They Call Them Crazy’ (1987) before disbanding at the end of 1987. A few years later he contributed to a Johnny Thunders tribute album by performing Cosa Nostra.

Henry was the Vice President of IRS Records between 1984 and 1994, and then managed Italian superstar Zucchero for 5 years.

After a five year sabbatical, Henry decided to return to guitar playing. He released a solo album in April 2006, ‘À Croire que c’était pour la Vie’, sung in French, including the song ‘Welcome Home’ featuring Stewart Copeland and Sting of The Police.

Henry also released a book in April 2006, Secret Police Man, that recounts many episodes of his “sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll” London lifestyle in the late 1970s and the early days of The Police.

In 2010, a documentary about Padovani was released. Kim is one of many people interviewed about him and she appears in the movie a few times.
