Goodbye 2023, hello 2024!

Well, that was 2023. Most people feel that 2023 was a difficult year, especially looking at the state of the world, with more war and poverty than in the years before and some lunatic taking over our once beloved Twitter medium. It’s hard to be optimistic when you look at climate change, conflicts and inequality, but then, of course, there’s always music.

For Kim Wilde fans, 2023 was full of surprises. Both Kim and Marty have been playing live. Ricky released a spectacular album in collaboration with Nina Boldt and Cherry Pop announced a box set of Kim’s earliest albums.

So what can we expect in 2024? Love Blonde: the RAK years is out in February, featuring familiar tracks from Kim’s first three years in the business, but with five previously unreleased remixes by Project K and Luke Mornay that are quite spectacular. Ricky has hinted that his album Scala Hearts with Nina might get a CD release, perhaps with added remixes? Kim is scheduled to play live in Europe this year (check kimwilde.com’s Tour dates page for all the confirmed live dates) and maybe the new album that she’s been working on with Ricky will be released towards the end of this year. As for Marty, he will be playing live throughout the year as well (check his website’s tour dates page for more information) and a special ‘An Evening with Marty Wilde’ in Radlett in October which we will certainly be reporting on.

There are, of course, more things to wish for. Fans really want Kim’s MCA albums to be re-released and if Universal delivers, that may still happen. Fingers crossed! There are whispers of more surprises this year, but you’ll have to keep a close eye on this website to find out more. We’ll be seeing you right here!
