For your German tour everything was in place, really. Then came the sudden cancellation. When do you come now?
Unfortunately not at all.
Why not? Don’t you get any support from your German fans anymore?
I do. I wanted to come very badly. My father was also in support of Germany. But my producer Mickie Most and the people from the record company advised us against it.
Why?
They’ve got the opinion that I’d better wait until I’ve had another single hit.
But the English tour went very well. Or was there annoyance there?
Everything went fantastic. The only trouble was, that I greeted the fans in Birmingham with “Hello, Manchester!”. They were angry of course and booed me. I had to apologise.
