Okay, the bridge of Boeing 747 Air France was not worth the grand staircase of the Casino de Paris. But it was anyway a good concentration of poster heads from showbiz in the sun.
337 years after the first settlers (exiles from mutineers on Madagascar), the ‘Discos d’Or 86’ came together for a few days in early June on the former Isle Bourbon.
The meeting is “the island has great show.” Never has this slogan for tourism purposes been so true. There was Carlos, Bill Baxter, Lio, Bruno Grimaldi, Muriel Dacq, Sandy Marton, Etienne Daho, Bibie, Jean-Luc Lahaye, The Communards and Kim Wilde. All together for the 8th night of discos d’or”, rechristened “the first night of discos d’or in the Indian Ocean.”
Co-produced by FR3, production and Katia Art and Communication, and supported by the regional tourism and Air France, the “Night of gold discs” was a gala (presented June 14 in the island before 6000 spectators) and it will be a broadcast on television (realized by Freddy Hausser) which mingles extracts and entertainment clips shot in different typical places on Reunion island. This show will be aired on August 6 FR3 (and associated French television channels).
