Daughter of Marty Wilde and sister to Ricki, Kim Wilde has never ceased to haunt the sleep of Laurent Voulzy (“Les nuits sans Kim Wilde”) and many others. Kim has a unique voice, easy speech and an innate sense of seduction.
In 1984, she signed a contract with MCA Records. The failed song album ‘Love Moves’ in 1991 disappointed Kim. She starts working on ‘Love Is’, her latest, with the firm intention of surpassing herself. Kim leaves London for the campaign. Having resumed contact with her, Rick Nowels, architect of the successes of Belinda Carlisle, spontaneously offered her services. He invited him to Los Angeles to come and record three songs which came to complete the eight titles produced by Ricki Wilde. This time, Kim Wilde sings with her little sister Roxanne, aged twelve and realizes a dream of Elton John fan: Davey Johnstone, Elton musician, from the beginning had precisely participated in the recording of the album and Paul Buckmaster (“Your song”) arranged the stringed instruments.
“Love is”, twelve years after “Kids In America”, is Kim Wilde’s new challenge at MCA, BMG distributions and seems to be a serious challenge for showbiz, as a whole.
