Review – Kim Wilde Live at Vredenburg, Utrecht, 4 February 1994

Was it a coincidence that we saw well-known faces from our highschool at the concert of Kim Wilde? And that the venue was filled with bald heads and grey hairs? No. Because in the beginning of the eighties Wilde had some minor hits, but after that she didn’t make much of things anymore. That’s why last year her CD “The Singles Collection” was released to revive her career. She played them all: Kids in America, Cambodia, Love Blond, Chequered Love. Typical that the climax of the concert was Iggy Pop’s Real Wilde Child. Wilde loved the chants from the audience, giggled like a shy schoolgirl now and then and said that all blonde girls were naughty. They used to be.
