Another vintage show for Kim & co

Singer-turned-gardener Kim Wilde led line-dancers in a routine around her hit ‘Kids in America’ at a charity vintage and classic car show.

The Tewin resident also opened the event at Stanborough Park, WGC and signed autograph for the crowds. The money raised – thought to be about £4,000 – will go to the East and North Herts Breast Unit Appeal, of which Kim is a patron.

Joining her in the line-dancing fun was breast cancer consultant Peter Crane and appeal founder Vicki Adams. A delighted Vicki said: “There was always a lot of people at the event which went very well.”

She thanked the Whitewebbs Museum of Transport, Enfield, which supplied most of the cars.

Line dancing demonstrations were performed by local people and world champion line dancer Johnny Two-steps. Mrs Adkins added: “The community really wants this unit and is starting to help raise money and organise events.” She thanked everyone who went to the event on Bank Holiday Monday.
