Majestic fells, ancient lakes and Beatrix Potter have been the inspiration for a Shropshire man and former pop star Kim Wilde for a special garden at a world famous flower show this month.
Richard Lucas, of Ellesmere, has joined forces with Kim — now a celebrity garden designer — to enter Chelsea Flower Show for the first time with their Cumbrian Fellside Garden.
The pair, who have worked together on many projects after being introduced about four years ago, started creating the garden a year ago after the 2004 show.
Richard, of Scotland Street, said: "We are very excited about it and delighted to be taking part in what is the world’s greatest flower show."?
The 39-year-old, originally from south Devon, but who has also lived in Cumbria, said: "The design for Chelsea is a Cumbrian fellside garden. We have a love of Cumbria."
The pair were one of nine picked for the courtyard gardens section out of hundreds of entries for the event from May 24 to May 28.
