Kim Wilde launches Britain In Bloom Campaign

Eighties pop princess and more recently local gardening goddess Kim Wilde, is backing Stevenage’s campaign to win ‘Best Small City’ in The Royal Horticultural Society’s Britain In Bloom competition.

She helped transform the grounds at Fairlands Valley Farmhouse alongside adults with learning difficulties and students from Nobel School by planting apple trees and rose bushes.

Kim said: “I wish Stevenage Borough Council and its partners every success in the Britain In Bloom competition, I know Stevenage is going to be a star.”

We also unveiled a massive banner at the front of the Council building in Danestrete to tell people in the town centre about Stevenage’s campaign.

We’re up against Bangor, Bath, Halifax, Oadby and Wigston and Shrewsbury in the ‘Best Small City’ category. Good luck Stevenage!
