Wilde about nurturing plants and people

A pop star and a sheriff braved the rain today to join a horticultural social gardening project – promoting drought resistant plants.

With drought predicted to the end of the year, 80s singer-turned gardener Kim Wilde, who lives in Codicote, joined new Hertfordshire High Sheriff Arabella Stuart-Smith at the Waste Not Want Not project in Rabley Heath to encourage gardeners to buy their range of non thirsty plants.

Kim Wilde was also celebrating her new role as patron of the volunteer-run scheme which helps people overcome major traumas through nurturing plants and creating and maintaining people’s gardens.
