Kim Wilde's first records were written and produced by her father and brother, Marty and Ricky. The three of them have had a great influence on the music world, as this regular series 'Wilde World' shows.

For the first installment of Wilde World in 2016 we wanted to present something really 'out there', and we think this is a good one. A Turma Do Balão Mágico ('The Magic Balloon Gang') was a musical group singing children's songs, named after a very famous children's television programme in Brazil called Balão Mágico ('Magic Balloon'). The programme was broadcast between 1983 and 1986. During that time, the musical group released six albums on the Columbia label, selling 13 million copies alltogether.

On their last self-titled album, released in 1986, they recorded the song 'Pa-Ra-Tchi-Bum', a Portuguese version of Marty Wilde's 'Abergavenny'. The song, which was originally written by Wilde and Gellar, was translated by Edgard B. Poças. As far as we know, no other versions of 'Pa-Ra-Tchi-Bum' exist, making this a rather unique version of that song.
