Kim Wilde's first records were written and produced by her father and brother, Marty and Ricky. The three of them have had a great influence on the music world, as this regular series 'Wilde World' shows.

The BBC TV programme Top of the Pops has become nothing short of legendary, for its weekly rundown of the British charts between 1964 and 2006. Starting in 1968, a series of 'Top of the pops' compilation albums was produced on the Hallmark record label. There was no connection to the television series except for its name. The albums were produced until the early Eighties, when compilation albums featuring original hits became much more popular.

Still, there's some treasures on those albums, especially for collectors. Those who are after cover versions of Marty Wilde songs will be interested in volume 2 of this series, which featured a cover version of 'Jesamine', originally performed by the Casuals at the time. The song is usually credited to the 'Top of the poppers', as no musicians were credited on these albums.
